I am going to take this opportunity to look into the best walking music to have on your ipod (I know how sad this makes me sound) but hey ho I know this already !!

Please post or comment if you know of any good songs/genre/artists, etc to walk to.

All I know so far is I walk in perfect time to Island In The Sun by Weezer here, AKA What A Life by Noel Gallagher here & Love Comes Tumbling by U2  here....

Love Song by Simple Minds here is also a great track and gets me hitting the road in perfect time. There is a couple of songs by the Bee Gees, Stayin Alive here and Night Fever here which love them or hate them are compulsory.  So if you see me in white flares and chest wig in Newcastle on 17th August you will know why !!

My Story

I'm walking the full length of Hadrian's Wall from the 17th - 21st September 2012 for Hope House Children's Hospices because of their inspirational work and dedication.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my page.

I am walking in memory of my mum who died of cancer 20 years ago. Not a day goes by that we don't miss her. She lived for children and was a children's nurse in Manchester and then later on in Wrexham. She was a special person and so the money raised would be great to go to a very special place indeed, Hope House Children's Hospice in Oswestry, Shropshire.

www.hopehouse.org.uk/en/index.php

The work they do there is inspirational. They care for terminally ill children and their families.
" When a parent is told their child will not live to be an adult it is the start of an agonising journey. A childhood terminal illness challenges every belief, emotion and dream a parent may have for their special son or daughter.

Hope House Children’s Hospices – Hope House in Oswestry and Ty Gobaith in Conwy – provide practical and emotional support to fa
milies facing the pain of losing their precious child.

It costs over £4 million a year to run both hospices which rely almost entirely upon donations as well as many generous individuals who fundraise on our behalf by organising fantastic fundraising events across the regions."
